OVERVIEW

Music has the power to uplift our state of mind, and there's a genre for every mood we have. However, with the vast variety of music available, it can be overwhelming to find the right songs and artists that match our preferences.

 

It's essential to have a music player app that understands our tastes and recommends the right music from a vast collection of songs, genres, and artists. With this in mind, we need to improve our search for music and make the process of discovering new songs more enjoyable and effortless.

GOAL

Sound to ME app intends to revolutionize how users discover and engage with music, tailoring recommendations to individual preferences and fostering a deeper connection between listeners and the vast world of music.

PROBLEM

"As a music lover, I want a personalized recommendation engine that suggests new artists and songs based on my listening history and preferences."

METHODOLOGY

  • 20 minutes per participant in Brazil

  • Moderated Remote Interview 

  • Questionaire: Google forms

  • 2 participants User Interview

  • 50 Participants for the online questionnaire

USER RESEARCH

1- What music streaming services do you currently use, and how satisfied are you with their recommendation engines?

2- What criteria do you use to discover new music, such as artist recommendations, playlists, or social media?

3- How important is the ability to customize recommendations based on specific moods, occasions, or activities, such as workout playlists or dinner party music?

4- What other features or functionalities would you like to see in a personalized recommendation engine?​
